Will Homosexuals Inherit the Kingdom of God?

“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. -(Genesis 2:24, KJV).

Marriage is for a Man and a Woman. But what does the bible tell about homosexuality and same-sex relationships? Does it condone or denounce the behaviour?

Take a look at the most debated scriptures about homosexuality:

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." (NIV).

The scripture  clearly states that God prohibits any premarital or extramarital sexual relations. Those who engage in them might not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Now, take a look at the next scripture which contradicts the first one:

1 Corinthians 6:11 - "And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."(NIV)

If homosexuality is a sin based upon the first scripture, the next one says that they, the homosexuals, can inherit the Kingdom of God if they come to the Lord, Jesus Christ.

But, what does the Bible really tell about homosexuality?

All of us has different viewpoints upon these scriptures. And most of us end up contradicting each other’s viewpoints based upon his/her own personal beliefs about homosexuality. Others end up finding themselves swayed or more open to homosexuality after reading and examining some of the scriptures of the Holy Bible.

Whether you believe it or not, homosexuality is a sin based upon our interpretations of the  scriptures. So rather to be God and pass judgement on those individuals, it would be a better option to offer prayers to those who are struggling with their homosexuality.
